Using Upneeq sometimes results in eye pressure in some patients. It could be due to fluid buildup (angle-closure glaucoma) caused by untreated narrow-angle glaucoma. If you notice increased pressure around your eyes, please discontinue Upneeq and see your doctor immediately.
Patients with mouth or eye dryness, called Sjorgen syndrome, should seek a doctor’s advice before using Upneeq. Do you also notice reduced blood flow to the heart or brain? Then, you should see a doctor before the situation gets worse.

Precautions with Using Upneeq

Upneeq is an alpha-adrenergic agonist medication that could affect your blood pressure. Are you on any other alpha-adrenergic agonist medications for enlarged prostate or heart disease? Please speak with your doctor before taking Upneeq.

If you are on hypertensive medications
Experience abnormal heartbeat
On beta-blockers
On monoamine oxidase, which is an anti-depressant medication
